Yesterday was the first day of the Perry/Page homeschool co-op of Kisumu. Here are few photos of our eventful day.
Samuel woke with water blisters and bumps covering his face. This was taken just after he saw his face for the first time.
No need to be concerned!!! After benadryl and ibuprofen, he is almost completely healed. After consulting a couple of trained professionals (instead of trusting the internet for answers), we've determined it's an adverse reaction to some plant. He's spent a lot of time messing with plants we don't have in NC.
Rachel stuffing a coconut shell we found on the road on a family walk.
Boys bought bow and arrows at the Maasai market. They came with sharp, razor blade points, which we pulled out and left with the owner of the shop. No way those were coming into this house!!
Rachel and Lyla got into some food coloring. I just don't have words. We'll leave it at this...Tammy had a much more godly reaction than I did. It will be a while before I look back at these photos and laugh.
I guess if they are going to make a tremendous mess like this, it's good it happened in the bath tub.
The princesses with stained green hands are headed to bed. Shew!
Jonathan, Sr. has a cough and the benadryl was making him tired, so we looked for cough syrup at the Nakamatt. This is what I found and purchased a joke. JP took it!!! Wish that I'd taken a video. That has to be the hardest we've laughed since we got here.
We do have another video that will not upload again. Some sort of fly invaded the kitchen during a downpour. Tammy brought out an electric fly swatter shaped like a tennis racket and began whacking them. Just as I titled this post, there is never a dull moment.
Please pray for our day at Agape. It will the Perrys first day leading a four hour activity period with the boys!
