Enjoy the photos...

Here are some more photos from this past weekend.  I'm using Chris's wireless thing-a-ma-jig, because the internet is still down here at the house.  Hope you enjoy all of these pictures.  Sometimes it's hard to pick ones to use, because I probably have just shy of one thousand on my memory card!

Saturday breakfast...the little critter bit the dust overnight on the patio.

These two are sneaky!!  This time they got into my mascara.

Potatoes are tiny after the dry season.

Another clothesline photo

Some of you may recognize the candle holder on the left :-)

No car seats....yikes!  Remind any older folks how your kids traveled when they were little?

My personal favorite pic from the museum

Horned Viper

Yes, this is a black mamba...inches away from my family.

I was convinced that he was trying to get out of the cage to come eat us.  He didn't.

What we believed was a green mamba.  It was just hanging out in a snake pit.

We are also convinced this was a boom slang (by far the coolest named snake).

Lyla liked rubbing the turtle's neck.

Cool bird named the Weaver bird...we think.

Huge croc...

Our folks looking at the croc through a very shabby fence.  Yikes, again.

These next photos are from Sunday worship at Agape.  Samuel gradually made his way to the front.  He desperately wants to know the words so he can sing as loudly and passionately as the Agape boys do.  I taped a great short video clip, but again, it's not posting very well.

Chris with some boys after the service

Meet Nick, a KJ, also known as the human jungle gym.

Rachel loves the tire swing.  I love that she loves it, because it helps me keep track of her!

Kate, another KJ....Kate, help me with the name of your friend here :)

All smiles when I break out the camera

Girls in their matching "Kenya" dresses

Post-church futbol match

JP is in the goal.  Samuel is on team Perry.

Penalty kick...my man blocked it, I'm sure.

More kicking...more blocking.

There is a boy up there.  He's just chillin on the back of the basketball backboard.

Chris is cleaning his hands after a nasty fall.

Chris making a block

Sutton playing on team Page

Dan Bowers, if you are reading this, please notice the ball you guys donated after one week of use.  The boys have gotten a lot of use out of this one.  I'm sure they'll use it many more games before bringing out one of the many replacements you sent.  Thank you!!

My boys were on the "skins" team.

More futbol

Lyla and Rachel playin in the mud

Hannah playing tether ball...thank you SCS for teaching her to play.

Mohammad mopping the floor
He loved this photo of himself.

These boys were on kitchen patrol.

Isaiah....he is always carrying this bible and he knows it well.

Sampson lifting a bench

Last one...kids waiting outside of the post office at Swan Center today.  Errands are much slower in Kenya for many reasons.  Having eight children along really doesn't help matters!  Praising God that Seth is feeling better so that it can be eight!

Please pray for our activity time with the boys tomorrow.  Also, JP, Chris and our older two boys are headed out to the rural area to take one boy home and assess a couple of other situations where boys are home on break.  Please pray for their safety, a smooth transition for the boy returning home, and that they find that all is going well for the boys on break.

  2. Kate, the potato's were small; how about the chickens? The chicken we ate in Haiti were the tiniest I had ever seen! KW :)
